Three Important Elements

Parent Role - Parents can offer feedback, help your child select music he/she likes, setting up regular practice schedules while celebrating each new milestone your child reaches on their instrument.

Teacher Role - The teacher can offer support and encouragement during successes and challenges encountered.  Presenting the student with music they like along with frequent parent communication is helpful.

Student Role - The student can commit to regular practice times, suggesting music they have an interest in and finding opportunities to share their music-whether for a family event, school/church event or recital.
